Oceanside covers a very large geographic area and four zip codes and this section pertains to the coastal area, 92054. The highlight of Oceanside is undoubtedly the deep sandy beaches and the pier just north of Mission Ave. The area west of I-5 is mixed with detached homes, duplexes, apartments and small unit developments, many with ocean views. The redevelopment zone west of 101 has seen a change with new developments, shops and restaurants and is designed to be pedestrian friendly. The coastal area is still considered to be a good investment as property values should continue to appreciate as redevelopment continues. A transit center is located a few blocks from the beach in Oceanside and the Amtrak, Coaster and Sprinter all stop there. While in Oceanside, make plans to visit the Oceanside Musuem of Art, California Surf Museum and 333 Pacific, a new upscale restaurant.
