Solana Beach is a small coastal community bordered by Encinitas, Del Mar and Rancho Santa Fe. Amtrak and The Coaster stop at the train station and Del Mar race goers take a shuttle bus to the track from there. A very popular design district, located on Cedros Ave., is a busy place on the weekends and Belly Up Tavern on Cedros is a well known concert venue and the best place to see musicians in North County. Fletcher Cove at the west end of Lomas Santa Fe Dr. is the spot for beachgoers. Many homes in Solana Beach have ocean views and the east side offers many properties with a 1/2 acre of more. North Coast Repertory Theatre is located just east of I-5 off Lomas Santa Fe Drive and is a the most popular venue for plays in north county. My favorite Mexican restaurant, Tony's Jacal, is located in the Eden Gardens area of Solana Beach.
